Since I lift weights, the way I approach it is to generally have 6 days of compliance and 1 day off to eat carbs or junk food (workout day). That's 85.7% compliance. 90% would be much better, but I just can't be bothered with the anal-retentiveness of eating 5 meals a day so that I can take 3 of them for the "day off".Gumby wrote: I agree that as long as you are generally trying to eat "real" foods you're definitely headed in the right direction. Incidentally, as I have trouble putting on muscle mass, it turns out that one only needs to add a fistful of starchy carbs, grains or fruit to the meal rules I described earlier. That should put in perspective the difference between being a diabetic fat ass and a healthy lean weight.
