FWIW, I have the BB Curve and I'm amazed at how much they have packed into its small case. It's probably one-half the size of an iPhone and it does what it does pretty well (email+texting+phone+calendar+limited web browsing+a few games+much better battery life than iPhone).
I'm still using a Blackberry 7520 with the nearly-free, unlimited Internet access hack on iDEN. Sadly, Nextel is retiring that network at the end of this year, so pop goes the weasle. I'm not really enthused about pricey tablets or other smartphones (especially with those annoying glossy, reflective screens) with expensive access plans as my CPU demands and application needs simply cannot be run on them. I am leaning towards a Nook Touch and potentially rooting it since I have a far more pressing need to get started on reading my nearly 3,000 ebooks library...
It will be a relief when the desktop territory is retro-reclaimed by geeks and everyone else uses portable computing devices. Solidarity!

Anybody liking RIMM at $7 a share?
I don't, but I was just curious.

Nope. All they have left is their declining cash, patents (difficult to value), and a customer-base just itching to move over to Apple or Google.
I am actually embarrassed to use my Playbook in public. BB's are no longer "cool" and that is extremely important in the gadget arena.
If they had the BB10 out on time, then I'd be singing a different tune, but as they say "Fool me once...F$#@ OFF!"

Looks like RIM surprised to the upside with their quarterly results:
"BlackBerry stock closes higher but enthusiasm wanes."
But then I saw this as another top story:
"Nortel execs monkeyed with numbers."
I wonder if RIM is doing the same thing (as MT mentioned earlier in this thread)? Their thought process could be, "all we gotta do is survive until BB10 is released, and then we'll go back to being honest."

Yes, I am sure that is what they are doing.

RIMM's down 9-10% today, but not at its lowpoint.
