Brilliant.

I'm an introvert, not at all an outgoing person, and it has revolutionised my previously much more limited social life. Facebook helps me keep in touch with people I care about but don't often meet. The most interesting people I've met, learned from, and grown fond of during the last couple of years were met through Facebook and events found on it. I guess it all depends what you use Facebook for.

The downsides, for me, are privacy concerns and how easily you can spend hours of it. It's like crack for procrastinators.
