btw, I tried Edge because of this thread, and it is fantastic on the Mac. (running High Sierra)
I tried that with the Zotero connect extension (which has to be downloaded directly) and it didn't work. I guess if you only have one or two you really depend on it might be worth a shot. Most of you probably have no need for a reference manager, so my limitation may not be yours.
There is another extension in my can't-live-without list though, that also has no equivalent in Safari: a javascript disabler. It is incredibly useful for turning off annoying popups, and it can even help you get past some paywalls. Not the WSJ's unfortunately.
