Pugchief, you're assuming the DNC is rational...
I read an article somewhere citing a precedent for choosing a candidate who came in late. Plus, if ever there was a time to do something like that it would be now. The pandemic is the mother of all disruptions to the election process. Everyone has forgotten about Biden, and he's lost so much political momentum it's hard to imagine him starting up again in a vacuum. Also, if the DNC pulls a big switch now, they can make people forget not only about Biden but also about the impeachment & Ukraine fiascos. Even though the impeachment probably didn't have any effect on the US response to coronavirus, it is really bad optics that as the virus was spreading in China and starting to invade the US, the Democrats were (Nero-like) fiddling away at impeachment. Surely the DNC is aware of all this.
My guess is that the DNC prevailed on Bernie Sanders on withdraw, specifically to open the way for Cuomo.

Bernie did NOT withdraw! He has merely suspended his campaign. He is going to continue to get votes so that in his supreme egocentric manner he can use his power to influence the Democratic Party. I again state that he is ONLY a Democrat when he is running for President. Some people may call him pure. I call him other things.

Semantics, Vinny. "Suspend" can mean temporary, like when McCain suspended his campaign to go be a senator again in the fall of 2008. In this case, "suspend" is in the same sense as Elizabeth Warren who also "suspended" her campaign. Bottom line is, Biden is the only one left standing and I'm pretty sure the DNC had a hand in this outcome.

Bernie specifically stated that he was going to remain on the ballot to continue to collect votes. Did Warren also specifically mention ballot votes in her suspension? And, wouldn't you think that if the DNC had a hand in the outcome then part of the deal would have been removing his name from the ballots?

Every time him or Warren made one of their wacky proposals tax "the rich" to fund their spending plans, I'd always ask why don't they propose some super tax on anyone making over $100,000 so that each of them would each have to pay a lot more taxes and not just "the rich". No integrity to always be spending someone else's money and not your own.

Wow talk about a mixed message. Dropped out of the race but still on the ballot? That will be roughly the same effect as people writing in "Mickey Mouse".

Bernie, you're 78. Go enjoy your 3 mansions and retire gracefully instead of inflicting all this populist rabble rousing on the country.
p.s. Yes I still detect the hand of the DNC here. I would bet they did it last time around too.

The Cuomo-instead-of-Biden bandwagon is building....
https://nypost.com/2020/04/10/democrats ... oll-finds/
However, please keep in mind that Cuomo was the one who did this to NYC:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/nypd-offic ... 1583445963
22% crime increase in February, after the 17% increase in January. Sorry nothing I can do about the paywall. The comparisons are to the same month in the previous year.
And we already know it's MUCH worse than that now - I see reports of multiple knifings and shootings every day all around my neighborhood in the Citizen app. They were nothing like this frequency last year. I'm just glad that these events are taking place in the "low-SES" areas outside my neighborhood proper, that are separated pretty effectively by geography. But I'm now much less inclined to go wandering into them as I used to.

Just to chime in, it's bad here in Vancouver in its own way.
We're seeing a huge spike in catalytic converter thefts due to cars being parked long-term and not moving anywhere. I have a friend who works in auto insurance and is seeing all kinds of chicanery of that manner.

He may honestly want to change the country, but the man's got an ego.
At least Bloomberg is continuing to put is funds into the Democratic cause. Whether one is with the Dems or not, staying on the ballot is a tacky move.
Delete that Citizen app; it's the worst.

Another major understatement! Is it ONLY apparent to me that this has ALWAYS been his SOLE reason for running??!! It is all about HIM!
