How about typing it (“toast”) into wikipedia. That will bring you to a disambiguation page where you can select the software company.
Or you could type the previously mentioned ticker (TOST) into yahoo finance.
You've made it way too time consuming for something I don't have sufficient motivation to investigate.
It would have been much simpler / easier if you to had provided more information / context.
Could you please elaborate?yankees60 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 6:40 pm I'm a firm believer that the sender has the responsibility for communication being successful, not the receiver.

Also he mentioned earnings in parentheses. And this is a "Moonshot" thread. I didn't know what "Toast" was either but it's pretty clear it's a company/stock.
Well, Xan successfully explained to me and I just responded how If I'd thought more about the topic title and the word "earnings" then I should have known you were referring to a stock. Therefore, the additional helpful piece of information would have been its symbol (TOST). And, also why you thought there was any significant going on as I did not see anything out of the ordinary looking at its stock price graph for the week.dualstow wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 8:49 pmCould you please elaborate?yankees60 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 6:40 pm I'm a firm believer that the sender has the responsibility for communication being successful, not the receiver.

Was I supposed to have remembered that this stock had been referred to here 1 1/2 months ago?
No. I mean it could be on its way down to $2 and change for all I know, so it is not particularly significant. Percentagewise, it is not a small gain, but I’m in it for the long haul (again, maybe on the way down) so that is also not terribly significant.
In all you say I'd triple underline: "fun stock"!dualstow wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 12:30 pmNo. I mean it could be on its way down to $2 and change for all I know, so it is not particularly significant. But, they recently turned a profit (Look how long it took Amazon) and I am hopeful that the shares are going to rise over the next several years.
Just a fun stock to watch. I remain a big believer in owning the total U.S. market with most of one’s equity money and I pay more for two years of cable than I have invested in this stock.
