Funny thing: anyone who's Canadian ABSOLUTELY knows not to wear a jacket over a shirt that says "Canada" on it. This happens way more often than one might think.
I've even seen one poor fellow who had that happen on picture day in school.

RIP Mark Margolis, aka Hector Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul
Refresh my memory as to what the character was? He wasn't the one who had half his face blown off in the nursing home? Or, was that him?
I watched both series many years after they came out and in a compressed span of time. I don't think I've yet seen the latest season(s) of Better Call Saul.

At the beginning he was this somewhat obsequious manager / owner of a fast food restaurant? Then he was later revealed to be a major drug kingpin? And, he had been waiting for decades to take out his revenge on another drug kingpin for what that one had done to him as a child? A brother also involved?

I wish Vil were still around. (Maybe he checks in?) I wanted to see if he’s read Time Shelter by Georgi Gospodinov.
I’m reading the English translation, and the original title is…let’s see here … Времеубежище.

Yes, DS, that's the exact translation. My wife bought the book as a gift to my father (he's avid reader), several months before the book got public attention. He was (kind of) dissapointed, but he rarely hails a book, so nothing unusual. Do you like it so far?
PS. I still keep coming here as part of some weird habit (daily routine), but not much to share. Still working hard, as PP do not deliver as promised and I can't spend all my time at the Greek beaches (but can spend part of it... guess that was the real PP promise... )
I’m glad you still check in just the same.
(I was underbought in long bonds so I’m not allowed to complain).
I do like the book so far. It kind of reminds me of an Umberto Eco book I read long ago. It’s quite enjoyable. This might be because I’m finally reading fiction again on the heels of at least 3 nonfiction books, but I’m often disappointed with novels. This one’s good.

I. Hate. JavaScript.
That is all.
Kind of weird that it has persisted and become ubiquitous. I don’t know anyone who likes it.
I asked chatGPT about it and “he” told me 10 positive things about it. Fair enough.

Somewhat like 2016 when so many people when polled did not want to admit that they were going to vote for Trump which, of course, threw off all the pre-election polling. Now for some reason people do not want to admit that they like JavaScript?
