Martha Stewart's lawyers argued that something similar was going on in her criminal trial with one particular juror who gave interviews after the verdict.
I do not remember ever reading that any of the jurors in her criminal trial benefitted financially from being a juror. Is there any evidence of this?

Vinny,
I'm not saying happened, just that Martha Stewart's lawyers made allegations that the juror named Chappel Hartridge had lied on his juror questionnaire. They pointed to this and other arguments as part of an appellate case which happened after Martha had served her sentence. The appellate case was intended to clear her name, and it failed.

Here's an article that talks about it: https://www.baltimoresun.com/business/b ... story.html

and another after the appeal was rejected, which talks more about the juror and the arguments that he might be biased: https://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/07/busi ... ewart.html

Chappel Hartridge probably brought attention to himself by giving an interview to NBC right on the courthouse steps: https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna4466939

Did anyone see the story a couple of weeks ago of a white cop being charged with murder for killing a white man?

Didn't think so. But it happened.
