Hmm, I’m a fan of Harry Ricardo. I had no idea who David was before looking him up just now. Related.Kriegsspiel wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 6:28 pm You know who hated landlords more than Marx did? David "Comparative Advantage" motherfucking Ricardo.

Anyone with Adam Smith as a user name knows who Thomas Malthus is.
I didn't get how the Thanos reference ties in.
Damn. I have much to learn.
In other words, if Malthus had the Infinity Stones I'm pretty sure those Marvel flicks would have been more documentary than fiction.Malthusianism is the idea that population growth is potentially exponential while the growth of the food supply or other resources is linear, which eventually reduces living standards to the point of triggering a population die off. This event, called a Malthusian catastrophe (also known as a Malthusian trap, population trap, Malthusian check, Malthusian crisis, Malthusian spectre, or Malthusian crunch) occurs when population growth outpaces agricultural production, causing famine or war, resulting in poverty and depopulation.

A transgender who Biden nominated for assistant secretary of health.
Her / His background:
Early life and education
Born on October 28, 1957, Levine is originally from Wakefield, Massachusetts.[1][9] Her parents, Melvin and Lillian Levine, were both lawyers.[10] She has a sister, Bonnie Levine, who is four years older.[10] Levine is Jewish and grew up attending Hebrew school.[11] Levine earned a high school diploma from Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Massachusetts.[12]
Levine graduated from Harvard College and the Tulane University School of Medicine and completed a residency in pediatrics and a postdoctoral fellowship in adolescent medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, New York.[13]
Career
After completing her training in pediatrics and psychiatry at New York City's Mount Sinai Hospital, Levine moved from Manhattan to central Pennsylvania in 1993 where she joined the faculty of the Penn State College of Medicine and the staff at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.[14] During her tenure there, she created Penn State Hershey Medical Center's Division of Adolescent Medicine and the Penn State Hershey Eating Disorders Program. She was in charge of the latter when she was nominated for the position of Pennsylvania physician general in 2015.[14]
Seems to me like someone who is devoted to promoting health in people's lives as opposed to the other who will do anything to benefit herself no matter the costs to other people.

DEFINITELY a contrasting view. But not much depth at that web site.
