Anyone who has grooved to the Motown sound should rent or get the documentary: Standing in the Shadows of Motown. It's about the aging house band for Motown telling their story as they produce a concert of great people singing the songs they played on.

Morgan Freeman's best performance ever.

Fast forward to about 1:30, unless you really like Rita Moreno.

Haha!  It is almost worth getting cable just for South Park (it's blocked online in Canada due to contract issues with Comedy Central...Sons of Bitches!)

Here's a groovy ditty from Jill Barber - "Chances" (3:59 - it's got a 1940-50's vibe to it):

Her brother is pretty good too, Matthew Barber - "Easily Bruised" (5:03 - it's very mellow):

Couldn't stop laughing. ;D
I wonder if Bernanke et al has thought of that for their decisions. Probably next in line to the dart board and the donkey tail.

Yeah, I still the show even after 16 seasons.  Sometime the episodes seem rushed and thrown together to me, but when they get it right it's hilarious.

Recently, the Facebook episode was great (where they spoof Tron), and my favorite all time episode is from season 10.  It's called "Go God, Go." Two parter about evolution.  The World of Warcraft Episode is great too.  Not sure about Canada, but in the US you can watch most of the episodes for free on SouthParkStudios.com.

Here's a very funny (I think) Howard Stern rant about the stock market and financial advisors.

NOTE:  Could be categorized as extremely offensive due to repeated use of the F-bomb.

That's a good rant!

Along the same lines, here's a clip from South Park that I've always enjoyed:

I like the stuff about "the graph."  Also the bingo reference and the idea that he would have been better off getting financial advice by calling a mental institution.

As long as we're posting South Park stuff (or at least I am), here's another good clip.

Parody of airport security.

Like most of the stuff I seem to be posting lately, this may be offensive to some (profanity and bathroom humor).
