Solar Roadways
Solar panels that you can drive, park, and walk on. They melt snow and... cut greenhouse gases by 75-percent?!!!

Communism!
JK... seems pretty cool. I wonder if it's the best use of limited environmental resources, but the more ideas the merrier.

Re: Solar Roadways
Sheer fantasy. Benko's video does a great job of explaining in detail the multitude of reasons why this idea is hubristic lunacy envisioned by ignorant, clueless dreamers without anywhere near enough subject matter knowledge. What they're trying to do is akin to building a bridge out of cheese. Sure, maybe you could do it… but it's the least efficient way to build a bridge or use cheese!
I love the point about it being a 1,000% better idea to simply build roofs over the roads and put the solar panels there. Now that's an idea. ...that's already being implemented in sunny places, like the Costco I shop at.

Human behavior is economic behavior. The particulars may vary, but competition for limited resources remains a constant.

Ideas that "mean well" or seem like a good idea/should work, but don't in reality.
Now where have we seen that before [cough cough]?

But what if it really works? Why not just try it on every road nation wide and find out? We can just print a bunch of money to do it and stimulate the whole economy. Right?

I kinda think it would be more productive if we spent all that money on BORDER SECURITY instead. <dryly>Reub wrote: But what if it really works? Why not just try it on every road nation wide and find out? We can just print a bunch of money to do it and stimulate the whole economy. Right?

Man you conservatives are utterly foolish straw-man posing baffoons...
Us liberals would be up in arms at the increased carbon-footprint-increasing, ozone-hole-growing, smog-inducing power-consumption that the adjustment would take by the computers of the banking system...
It's 2014... get with the program.
