I only need two!
* How much will it pay in dividends over the time I own it.
* How much it will be worth when I want to sell it.

1) Does it pay a decent dividend it can afford (pay out ratio)?
2) Does it have a history of regularly increasing dividends?
3) Is it a household name / company I would be shocked went under or is it smoke and mirrors.

How about these:
1. Small cap
2. Price-to-book less than 1.
3. EPS increase of 10%/year over 3 year period.
Also...non-financial (not sure what price-to-book really means for a financial company).
