Great video!  Carlin is great.  After viewing the video, I've noticed as I drive down my street, that everyone's garage is packed with "stuff."  Now, all the houses here have slab foundation - no basements in which to keep your "stuff."  Everyone's cars are parked in their driveways or on the street - because of "stuff" (motorcycles, 3-4 cars per family, etc).  So our cars sit out in the hot Texas sun because no one can park them in their garages.  Oh and for full disclosure, I'm as guilty as anyone else - too much "stuff" in the garage!

Why is it in the United States that we "drive" on the parkway and "park" in the driveway?

Reminds me of what you see in new build housing estates in the UK, but it's because new houses are so small.

The developers furnish the show house with specially made "midi" furniture to make the sale.

The new owners rock up to their dream house and find that you can't actually fit normal size kitchen appliances in the kitchen so they end up with a fridge , freezer , washing machine and dryer fitted in the garage.

No great loss because there's not enough room to open the doors of a normal sized car if you parked it in the garage in any case. Oh and the "ensuite in every bedroom" means you can't actually fit a normal bed in there.

Once you then start collecting the normal "STUFF" like gym equipment, mountain bikes, electric go-karts, golf clubs, expresso machines, 72 inch TV and so on, you end up with a square yard of living space for the entire family.

The british dream, a bargain at 5x combined salary.

When you post a link to a video, please include a sentence or two describing what it's about and how long it is.

More people will see it when you do that and poor souls who have been Rick Rolled will be less skittish.

Thanks.

Q: “Do you have funny shaped balloons?”
A: “Not unless round is funny.”
