Are Otterbox Cases Worth It?

As the thread title says. Are they worth it in your guys’ experience? They’re pricey, but supposedly offer el primo protection. Not sure what the reality is though.

While i was looking at amazon orders, I put this next to the sink to rinse dishes and save about 2 gallons a day (2 showers) putting the warm-up water in it.

My wife and I have had a couple. They seem very well engineered re. drop protection but are a tad bulky for my taste. I've had an Apple leather case for quite a while that I like because it's slim and easy to pocket and adequate; I've dropped my phone a couple times without damage (I don't think leather is available from Apple any more - might be wrong). Wife likes an RFID blocking case that holds several credit cards, drivers license, insurance cards etc. I think it comes down to personal choice for your needs. Good luck.

Phone cases are for the poor.

With that said, I would never spend extra for OtterBox. I buy whatever looks to be best value in the moment.

I like Spiegen but I do have a large otterbox that housed an old form factor Mac mini. It’s awesome.
Are they worth it? Meh, buy an *ok*phone case and (eventually) an oz of gold with your savings.

Thanks for the input guys.

Ended up picking up the iPhone 15 since it’s marked down now. Got the otterbox commuter and screen protector. Hopefully this lasts a good while.
