Maybe you can ask Jack Jones about Ruby on Rails. He doesn’t seem to talk to be directly these days, but he appears to know a lot of computery stuff. (e.g. gave me tips on emacs).

My lovely fiance did the following today: handcuffed me to the bed, replaced the filling in the oreos with toothpaste, and replaced the toothpaste in the tube with mayo.
What did you fellows have to suffer through today?

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
I've literally never used emacs and now I feel like I should lose my nerd status over that.
Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
How're everyone's investments going?
Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
Or, right now watching the UConn / Purdue game?
I know that there have been a fair number of players from Canada who have played baseball and basketball. Does Canada have a professional basketball or baseball league? Baseball would be difficult given that it'd have a relatively short season. Not an issue for basketball.

I read Naismith's biography and don't remember that part.
But you are correct!

However, he invented it AFTER he moved to the United States.

Hahaha my fiance absolutely hates Tim Horton's. She says the coffee is just mud water. I mean, i see her point.
With the warmer weather coming we are definitely looking forward to doing some biking around the river valley area of our city. Also, there will definitely be festivals and all kinds of outdoor stuff now that it's warming up.
We are also both taking a couple of online courses so we enjoy studying together too.

What?? And you call yourself Canadian
Well, I guess they are before your time.

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
Their first record did come out in 1975, many years before Smith1776 was born. Them and The Guess Who the most prominent rock bands to ever come out of Canada. Just remembered Bryan Adams also belongs in there.
Saw each of them once.
Recently learned on the MLB Network that Geddy Lee is a major baseball fan. As part of that he amassed one of the greatest collections of baseball memorabilia which he started auctioning off last winter.

Selections from the Geddy Lee Collection

Geddy Lee is best known as the lead singer, bassist and keyboardist for legendary Canadian rock band Rush. He is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with his signature etched into its walls with other legendary rockers.
But Lee, 70, is also a passionate baseball fan, memorabilia collector and a benefactor of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City. A fan of the Detroit Tigers as a kid and later a season ticket holder of the Toronto Blue Jays, he became an avid collector and curator of the national pastime while touring during the 1970s. His office is now a baseball shrine filled with historic treasures, including balls signed by The Beatles and President John F. Kennedy.

Gosh people, I'm humbled that someone noticed. I'm still alive and kicking. I've been reading the forum most every day. I've just not had anything significant to contribute ...... but wait, has anyone?
