Wow those are beautiful photos!!

Spring flowers are incredible this year. The clear views of the skyline are pretty special too. I wonder if this is because the weather pattern has been more like the historical normal. Maybe due to the reduction in pollution? The nights have been chilly (40s to low 50s) and there have been no hot days (only one day with high temp > 80). We even had a brief snow shower on Saturday.

In recent years, by this time we would be having mostly warm nights (60s and sometimes 70s) and at least a few days with temps in the high 80s to 90s. Historically that shouldn't happen until late June/July and last only until late August with a bit of recurrence in September - but recently that kind of weather has been setting in early May and continuing straight through to November without a break. That's been very destructive to plants, and you don't realize it until you have a more normal year and plants respond accordingly.

Right? It's pretty great. I keep seeing "air quality excellent" on the weather and I think... Hmm, that's abnormal. But then again, the weather around here has been VERY nice since last spring. I think I'm getting spoiled; it's almost Californian to enjoy the weather almost the entire year.
You there, Ephialtes. May you live forever.
