A Chinese government-backed company amassed Australia’s supplies of masks, hand sanitiser, antibacterial wipes and shipped them to China.
While the bulk purchases and shipping were perfectly legitimate, the goods shipped in bulk to China include the very items that have been in short supply for Australian citizens as well as health professionals.

Is that the same Orangeness who was racist for imposing a ban on flights from China on January 31st?

Orangeness. ;D

Thanks for the memories. Our baby daughter, now 50, loved carrot baby food. We inexperienced parents knew we needed to cut back when her skin turned orange. Beta carotene to the max!
DNA has its own language (code), and language requires intelligence. There is no known mechanism by which matter can give birth to information, let alone language. It is unreasonable to believe the world could have happened by chance.

I saw that. The most egregious detail to me is this that I found in another article:

"Ferguson said community testing and contact tracing wasn’t included as a possible strategy in the original modelling because not enough tests were available."

He assumed we'd never have enough tests -- an important assumption that hasn't held up. For reference, the UK is on the verge (within days or weeks depending on who you ask) of having millions of take-home antibody tests, which basically completely blows up the original model. It's a classic example of how static analysis is a terrible way to model reality in a dynamic world.

Sure. Without getting into the blame game, I'll simply point out that evidence is mounting that things aren't nearly as bad as we've been led to believe. As new information invalidates old models, life could get back to normal faster than many people are predicting.

Just went outside for the first time in two days to walk across the street to get two days of mail / newspaper.

I was first hit by a totally frigid north facing garage.

But much milder as I got outside. And, there were a lot of neighborhood kids playing on the trampoline on the other side of the fence adjoining my property.

As I was walking back and forth from the garage, seeing ALMOST all the snow had melted and feeling the mildness of the weather I wondered if I should stay out and read and listen to music.

Came back in and see it is 55 degrees. Too cold for that. Would have been warm enough to do some work outside.

There are still some cruise ships out there operating during a global pandemic? Why?

The white fence is about six feet high. Then the trampolines outlines extend for another three feet over it.

Therefore I was not actually seeing anyone. Just heard a lot of children's voices. Could have been as few as three or four. At the time I did not have in mind doing a detailed report on that aspect of it. What was going through my mind regarding them was..."If they are outside, I should also!"

Why was Trump always making it a point of emphasis every day that we had to help the airlines industry, the hotel industry...……….the cruise ship industry??!!

I did some limited research and it seemed like the entire world wide cruise ship industry was smaller than all of our 200th largest companies.

And, I since learned that many of those in the cruise ship industry are registered under foreign flags to avoid paying U.S. taxes.

Therefore, his consistent, constant worry for that industry made me wonder in what way he profits from its health.

It should be far, far, far, far, far down the list of industries that are far more important and essential to our economy.

I am now going to fully open the last several days' (week's) worth of mail. After I complete doing so I will then do a day's worth of washing dishes to thoroughly cleanse my hands.

I can see how the cruise ship industry is important to the state of Florida, bringing all those tourists, but yes, not to the country.

Front page top headline in my local newspaper (from yesterday): Business is booming at liquor stores"

In the accompanying picture it looks like the cashier and customer are no farer than two feet apart...

First paragraph: "It seems many locals are throwing back a shot to forget about the worldwide coronavirus outbreak, as liquor stores across...….report experiencing a massive spike in business over the past two weeks"

I conclude that the demographics in that category in my county seem to parallel those same demographics in this forum!

IF I am correctly using the word "demographics'! Meant to imply that there is seems to be the same rate of usage in both.

And, as I keep reading the details in the article I see that some here may be interested in reading those same details: https://www.recorder.com/Liquor-stores- ... 9-33490871.

People in the grocery store had sh** ability to stay away from me. I felt like I was at the Dojo today. Teens and olds have no concept of personal space.
