Gotta love the drawn in Sharpie line that just *barely* clips Alabama.

Self-inflicted injury. He could've just said, "Look the NOAA forecast was within XXX miles of Alabama, that's close enough to warrant concern" and moved on. But no, he had to use a childish, amateur stunt with a Sharpie.

Joe Biden had better not be the Democratic candidate...

His creeping on little girls alone would torpedo him amongst the liberal base.

Ah weather forecasters, reminds me of economists.

It boils down to the models that you want to go with.

My gut is on Sanders with this one... if not, I think Warren would take it.

Either of them would defeat Donald Trump IMHO. Even members of Trump's own base seem disillusioned with his absolutely asinine behaviour.

Sanders is a really nice guy with an intense base, but I don’t see him winning this time around. I think he has the same chances as Linux becoming the dominant operating system (all flavors) of the U.S. Hey, it’s got a really intense fan base. I’d love to have Bernie as an uncle.

Some of it’s anecdotal: I know people who even worked on his campaign (low level, small role) who aren’t supporting him in 2020. And, it’s painful to say it, but the Dems will find something, anything wrong with a white male candidate.

Elizabeth Warren maybe? At least, I think she could become the top Dem contender.

G.O.P. Plans to Drop Presidential Primaries in 4 States to Impede Trump Challengers...
WASHINGTON — The Republican Parties in Arizona, Kansas, Nevada and South Carolina intend to cancel the 2020 presidential primaries in their states, according to three people familiar with their plans, a move aimed at depriving President Trump’s long-shot challengers of chances to build support.

The state parties have not formalized their decisions, but Mr. Trump’s challengers denounced the move. Joe Walsh, a former Tea Party congressman from Illinois who announced his candidacy last month, said he planned to fight the move legally and by appealing directly to voters in those states.

“It’s something a mob boss would do,” Mr. Walsh said in an interview. “All the times in 2016 when he said the Democrats were rigging the system to elect Hillary? He is actually eliminating elections in certain states, and that’s undemocratic.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/06/us/p ... e=Homepage

The Republican Party has become a political cult. I've never voted Democrat for any political office above the purely local in my life. And the local exceptions were exactly two, both times for my father. But if the Democrats don't nominate a leftist moonbat next year, I will probably take a stiff drink, steady my shaking hand, and pull the lever for their guy. Yes, I think things are that bad. Joe Biden is wrong about almost every issue I care about. But...

* He is not a nut.
* He is not morally bankrupt.
* I am reliably informed that he can read and write.

And that is pretty much what it has come down to. I am so over Trump and the cult of personality he has constructed. The GOP has lost its soul and it needs purification. And that is only going to come from a trip to the electoral woodshed.

Ad O, I don't disagree with anything you said, except would qualify a couple of points.

1. The likelihood of the Dems not nominating a leftist nut is slim, as Biden is pretty much the only one who does not meet that mold.

2. The Dems need 'purification' more than the GOP in my opinion. Both sides have lost their way, but the Dems have gone off the deep end.
Yeah. Biden is the only top tier Dem who is not a moonbat.

Second hand info so read in that context: I know several people who know Biden personally; he lives in my area. Based on their comments, one should be very careful to exclude him from the moonbats - he comes across as a nice but bumbling guy - but beware.

Yes. Techno and I can agree on this. I cant believe all the shrieking in this thread about concentration camps, with no one providing any ideas:

ofc I get downvoted because its not a utopian narrative

And it troubles you that wisdom is not found in a forum dominated by opinions that can be expressed in 15 words or less?
