Re: The GOLD scream room
Is Trump responsible for these HUGE losses, just like the records he was crowing about?
Oh, no, that's right, it's Powell's fault. Or the Chinese. Or the Democrats.
I only have to go back 8 days...

You really need to learn to read between the lines.Kbg wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 4:35 pmTake this to the appropriate area please.Cortopassi wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 3:02 pm Is Trump responsible for these HUGE losses, just like the records he was crowing about?

No not really, politics on investment boards usually just ruin the board and people tune out/leave. There was great wisdom in making an "Other Discussions" section. The only investment boards I've seen that last long term and continue to be worth the time spent reading them have all had a strict no politics policy. If Cortopassi starts posting here what he posts in the other section, I'm out.Don wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 5:42 pmYou really need to learn to read between the lines.Kbg wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 4:35 pmTake this to the appropriate area please.Cortopassi wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 3:02 pm Is Trump responsible for these HUGE losses, just like the records he was crowing about?

And I fully support his right/desires to post there whatever and however he pleases...just not in the investing sections.

Thank you.
Re: Politics in investment boards
I think we have something similar to Godwin's Law at work here ("As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches 1").
It would go something like this....
It would go something like this....
I've seen this in a lot of forums. Over on a board called Patheos where they discuss religion there is a section called "Nonreligious" which is really for atheists. I've suggested that they change the name to "Donald Trump" because it would be more accurate. As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a negative attack on Donald Trump approaches 1

To the point of the thread... Yes Trump (and a critical mass of his supporters) will filter out any abject failures as "Thu librul Mediuh," and any mild continued economic success as reason to rejoice.Cortopassi wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 3:02 pm Is Trump responsible for these HUGE losses, just like the records he was crowing about?
