Almost all ETFs will trade free excluding leveraged funds.

That's really great news; hopefully that means no more commissions on Gold ETF purchases!

Companies that already offer free ETF trading like M1Finance May still have an advantage because they offer purchase of fractionalized shares resulting in all of your investment amount being utilized.

There's a pretty good list - https://personal.vanguard.com/pdf/etfcfl.pdf
The notable things is that SCHA, SCHB, SCHF, and GLDM are all on the list.

If you're not optimizing for day-trade pricing, fidelity's zero expense ratio funds (i.e. FZROX/FZILX), or owning direct gold/tbills, you can essentially build a PP or GB portfolio entirely within vanguard.

That Fidelity auto-roll Treasury reinvestment is convenient.

Yeah, plan to still use fidelity for FZROX/FZILX and direct treasury purchases - VLGSX/VSBSX/VUSXX have still been serving as the initial step though for T-Bills. Will keep a Schwab acct in a small way for foreign debit card / checking.

If I was younger version of myself that didn't invest the past year in learning plaintextaccounting and didn't have time to think about investing, I'd consider just using vanguard for everything - just remembering to save the csv files every few months for when I find time to get more sophisticated.
