Alternatives to peaktotrough.com?

Post by barrett » Wed Dec 13, 2017 11:04 am

Hey All,

Looks like the stock and gold data at peaktotrough.com has not been updating since around 10/31. I've tried sending PMs to Peak2Trough who is a member here, but to no avail yet.

Can anyone share an alternative site for current PP data that they use? Thanks!

Portfolio Visualizer doesn't go all the way back to 1972, does it? How can I re-create peaktotrough.com using Excel? Are there any other options?

How far back does the Yahoo Finance data go? And can you automatically calculate re-balancing using 15/35 bands?

Thanks

If you use the Vanguard mutual funds you can go back through 1997 (for Gold I did kitco before GLD started in 2006).

It will auto calculate re-balancing, but you have to setup the spreadsheet to do it. But, after you do it once you are set.
Thanks. I was really hoping there would be a way to go all the way back to 1971 like peaktotrough did. Does anyone know where peaktotrough was getting their data? Does anyone know who owns the peaktotrough website and if they intend and making it work again?
