Go to the address bar of your browser where you see the "http:.."
On a lot of browsers, you can easily get there with Control + L.
Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C to copy, // control A = Select All
or click on your browser's Edit & then Copy in the popup menu with you mouse.
(Your mouse's right-click might also provide those options).
Finally, when you're back here, typing your post, just hit control + V to paste
(or click Edit, Paste in your browser per browser popup menus or right-click as mentioned above).

Tenn, I believe that simply copying a URL is sufficient to automatically create a link. The page you linked to is handy for fancier tricks though, like changing the link text. Unless you need to do that, then dualstow's method should work fine.
