Holy cow!

What an episode.

Bruce Campbell shows up as Ronald Reagan.  Bonus!

The body count is really picking up.

There were about half a dozen memorable and/or hilarious lines in the episode.

The tension in almost every single life in the show is ratcheting up, but for slightly different reasons in each case.

Beautiful pacing, writing, acting, plot, music.  Terrific show so far.  People who join late will have the pleasure of binge watching.  Lucky them.

Bruce Campbell nailed that bit as Reagan. Caught the essence.

I think that this season so far has been considerably better than the first season, even though the first season was outstanding.

I love these characters and the way each of them is in a slightly different orbit around a cluster of really bad stuff.

Ted Danson is terrific.  I never liked him at all before this role, but he's been great so far.

The black dude is the best philosopher/humorist hitman since Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction.

I was a bit disappointed when I first saw him on the screen but yeah, he's holding his own in this show. Maybe it's a testament to the good writing.

This weeks episode was awesome.  Great suspense.

Oh yeah, forgot about that! It's crazy when you stop to consider that this all happened, more or less.

I hate to burst your bubble, Jack, but it is most assuredly *not* based on a true story. That part is just a joke.
They got away with it when the movie came out because no one had the internet to readily look it up. Nowadays, in the tv series, they still say the same thing, but it's just tongue-in-cheek.

I had to let my folks down pretty recently as well.
Didn't seem to put a dent in their enjoyment.  :)

There probably are, but it's hard to get video evidence.  ;)

I loved the episode...but was wondering why the writers chosed to put a UFO in it.

Opinions?

I mostly ignored that, but there's some commentary here that I agree with.

Regarding the appearance of UFOs this season, those come straight out of 1970's Minnesota. See http://www.mprnews.org/story/2015/10/27 ... n-incident
Minnesota in the 1970s was something of a hotbed of UFO activity — for the people who believe in that kind of thing. "This was a big decade for UFOs in Minnesota," said Dave Kenney, co-author of "Minnesota in the 70s."

I think that season 2 was better than season 1.

Season 2 was some of the best television I have ever seen.

If you go back and watch it a second time, there are all sorts of details that you probably missed the first time around.

Brad Garrett's explanation of his shampoo preferences takes on a lot more meaning when you know that his head is going to be in a box shortly thereafter.

When it flashes back to Dodd riding to town with his dad, when you realize that Dodd was getting ready to commit his first murder as a boy of 12 or so, the shots from them riding in the truck are sort of chilling.

The comedy alone was worth watching.  Deadpan black comedy is hard to beat.

The Hanzee Dent storyline is hard to beat, although I did love Billy Bob Thornton as Lorne Malvo in season 1.

Did you know that Martin Freeman (Lester Nygard from season 1) narrated episode 9?
