I lost my job a few years ago due to the fact that the company I worked for made a decision that 90% of software development was going to be "off-shored" to India. Wasn't that big of a deal to me because I planned to retire soon any way and I appreciated the six months of severance pay helping me to transition to my new life (from which I have had absolutely no regrets and never looked back for even a second, BTW).
If this story is to believed, people flying on the 737 max may have a different perspective.
It's just writing code and testing it after all. How hard can it be?

Not India's fault that Boeing's being cheap. Hopefully there will be criminal prosecution
Airbus had two crashes caused by over-automation. I'm still trying to figure out why they think unlinked sidesticks/joysticks are better than yokes with tactile feedback.
