Prometheus Award nomination!
My first book as a publisher, "The Fractal Man", by J. Neil Schulman (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D994VRQ), has been nominated for the Prometheus Award for Best Novel of 2019!

Wow, Tech, that's a big deal! Congratulations. Is this different from being a "finalist"? When will you find out whether you won?Libertarian666 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 12:39 pm My first book as a publisher, "The Fractal Man", by J. Re: Prometheus Award nomination!
Thanks! No, this is just the first round. The judges will read all of the nominated books by March and pick the finalists, I believe 5 books. Then the members vote on the winner. I believe that will be announced in August.Xan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 2:57 pmWow, Tech, that's a big deal! Congratulations. Is this different from being a "finalist"? Add my congratulations to the mix! That is a big deal indeed. Kudos.
DNA has its own language (code), and language requires intelligence. There is no known mechanism by which matter can give birth to information, let alone language. It is unreasonable to believe the world could have happened by chance.

Thanks for the support all!
BTW, I could use some more Amazon reviews if anyone feels like writing one...

So this will be the second time you've won it?Libertarian666 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 12:39 pm My first book as a publisher, "The Fractal Man", by J. Neil Schulman (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D994VRQ), has been nominated for the Prometheus Award for Best Novel of 2019!

My author has won it twice, the last time about 30 years ago.
He wasn't my author at the time, so I can't claim credit for that.

Ok, I see. Was thinking you were the author instead of the publisher.Libertarian666 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 1:47 pmI've never won it yet.jacksonM wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 1:18 pmSo this will be the second time you've won it?Libertarian666 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 12:39 pm My first book as a publisher, "The Fractal Man", by J.
