You know what I’m talking about.

I think Tyler’s right in Austin.
Ocho- Texas, but where? Where they need geologists. Near the Gulf?
MediumTex- way north. I want to say...Frisco?
Seems like there are a lot of people from TX on this forum.

I'm a couple of hundred miles from there, so in no particular danger, but I do have to ask the obvious question: why aren't politicians calling for common-sense bomb control? Are they all in thrall to the NBA (National Bomb Association)?

Thanks, Dualstow. I'm there too. That tripwire one was way too close to home.

Thanks. I'm definitely keeping a close eye on any packages and being a lot more cautious of my surroundings. Pretty crazy.

Xan! I knew I was missing someone!
I might be missing one or two more.
Best wishes.

My son is in Austin, I'm sure he's not happy.

Or the bad guy blowing himself up when the cops have him surrounded.
Yes, that works very well also.

My question is why they don't just blow themselves up first and spare everyone else the trouble?

I wonder what this Carlos Danger Snowflake was so aggrieved about.

I'm going to guess that he had trouble with women.

I believe that accounts for most of the mass murderers who aren't jihadists.

HAH! I was gonna say the same thing. Haven't seen anything related to the guy except his name.

I don't think the 25-minute video recording he made has been released, at least not yet. The police chief says that he mentions the 7 devices, which means they're all (most likely) accounted for, so that's a big relief. The chief also said that the guy didn't mention racism or terrorism but instead a lot of personal problems in his own life. So I think Tech is right.

Wall St Journal reports that he referred to himself as a psychopath, and questioned himself on tape. Wondered aloud why he didnt feel any remorse.

I guess he was one of those stupid psychopaths then? I think any psychopath of normal intelligence could figure out why they don't feel remorse when they go psychopathing around.

Well, I think they go psychopathing around because the don’t feel any remorse premorse.

I meant if you aren't a moron, and you know you're a psychopath, you aren't confused as to why you aren't remorseful.

Thanks! We're pretty good on power now, not so good on water. There's a city-wide boil order, which is certainly a pain, but in our neck of the woods there's just no water coming out of the pipes at all. There's still snow on the ground which can be harvested and heated for flushing. Fun times!

I heard about that snow flush this morning. Clever!
Has anyone heard from Tyler? I’d like to think he’s built a secret underground lair by now and is unaffected by surface weather.

I PM'd with him earlier. He's in pretty good shape in his lair.

Water's back on this evening! Still with a boil order, but much nicer than none at all.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but how's your utility bill? Tell me you're not on Griddy.

I have no sympathy for those now getting the large utility bills. They chose to live with minimal regulation plus they want to keep all their prior savings. Now they want the rest of us to pay their bills.
