One of these things is not like the others...
One of these things is not like the others
one of these things just doesn't belong
one of these things just doesn't belong
Re: One of these things is not like the others...
Would the term "special snowflake" apply here?
Re: One of these things is not like the others...
Whatever term applies to Obama's portrait, it should be very interesting to see what Trump's portrait looks like. I'd lay better than even odds that Obama won't hold the title of wackiest portrait for more than 8 years. At least Trump will make sure his portrait is made by Americans (oh, the racist horror!). Apparently Obama's artist is known for having lackeys in China do most of his grunt work. But the fawning, globalist media wouldn't be bothered by something like that; while in the meantime huge numbers of underprivileged youth can't find reasonable jobs in our country. Just another example of minimum wage laws hurting the very people who are supposed to be helped. But leftists grasp of basic economic principles is tenuous at best.

Awash in a sea of green. How absolutely fitting.

I know the answer! Twelve prostitutes to the global corporate regime and one cheap hooker.Kriegsspiel wrote:One of these things is not like the others

I'm going to select the LBJ painting with Reagan as a followup - more light than dark.Kriegsspiel wrote:One of these things is not like the others

DNA has its own language (code), and language requires intelligence. There is no known mechanism by which matter can give birth to information, let alone language. It is unreasonable to believe the world could have happened by chance.

Green...yeah, Mr. Obama, we get it!!! And are you implying that you are the only green President?
Honestly that's in surprisingly poor taste. In all fairness I should point out that Reagan's portrait is a bit wacky too. It looks like a movie set for ancient Rome.

Is it just me, or does Obama's presidential portrait look like a bad Photoshop job?
The lighting, texture, and level of detail on Obama's face and clothes doesn't match that of the surrounding leaves. It's like they painted Obama in the chair first with a lot of careful detail, then at the last minute somebody decided to just throw a jungle in there.

The painter was in a hurry to escape on the 4:00 train. It is now 3:18. Only 42 minutes more with this bozo!Tortoise wrote:Is it just me, or does Obama's presidential portrait look like a bad Photoshop job?

I have it on good authority that his portrait was painted directly onto bathroom wallpaper.Tortoise wrote:Is it just me, or does Obama's presidential portrait look like a bad Photoshop job?

Holy gay. Yes, I used that in the pejorative sense.
Don't agree with me too strongly or I'm going to change my mind

While I agree with your sentiment... look at your avatar!eufo wrote:Holy gay. Yes, I used that in the pejorative sense.
But seriously that Obama pic is terrible. And I'm pretty left on the environmentalism spectrum.

Apart from liking it or not liking it, it demonstrates poor taste to have one so jarringly different from all the others.moda0306 wrote:I actually like it... but you know how hard it is to not knock a softball out of the park.
Oh, but wait, it turns out that Americans just "struggle to engage with art".
