According to Nancy Pelosi, anyway: http://www.latimes.com/politics/essenti ... story.html
Not according to the shooter, though.
The victims were very lucky that they happened to have security, which of course others don't.
Except in a state that has constitutional carry.

Well, of course if a Democrat is shot, it's a different story: then it's all the Republicans' fault.eufo wrote:Only on days like today? #dividedwefall

I don't follow any party, but the stances on both sides are pretty clear:Libertarian666 wrote:Well, of course if a Democrat is shot, it's a different story: then it's all the Republicans' fault.eufo wrote:Only on days like today? #dividedwefall
Democrats - Guns kill, see? Take away the guns!
Republicans - Bad people kill! If more people carried guns we would reduce the threat of these monsters!
I suppose I'm somewhere in the middle... I don't like the idea of everyone toting a gun with them, but I still think it's everyones' Constitutional right to do so. Even without guns, people have become quite adept at killing others when that is their goal... so perhaps we need to better understand why people make that their goal and see what can be done about that.

There is no middle. You are either for the murderers or for their intended victims.eufo wrote:I don't follow any party, but the stances on both sides are pretty clear:Libertarian666 wrote:Well, of course if a Democrat is shot, it's a different story: then it's all the Republicans' fault.eufo wrote:Only on days like today? #dividedwefall

Victim disarmament laws affect only the law-abiding.

The issue of gun control is the least of the problems right now.
The fact that too many on the left see Rs as deplorable (or far worse) and are in favor of using violence is a bigger problem.

The left, including the so-called "mainstream media" and Hollywood elitists, owns this. They also own all the other copycats who try the same thing.Benko wrote:The issue of gun control is the least of the problems right now.

I don't expect too much of this in Texas because there are a lot of gun owners here, but unfortunately they still require a permit for self-defense, so it isn't a sure deterrert.
