I had the same question. I don't want to ingest more fluoride than needed either. My plan is to filter tap water via reverse osmosis and add minerals back to it. I found this is what brewers do to "recreate" the water found where a given beer is produced. I also found the WHO seems to consider Evian water as being well balanced nutritionally. Analysis for this water can be found at e.g. http://www.finewaters.com/Bottled_Water ... /Evian.asp. At least one person has posted recipes on how to approximate it at http://blog.khymos.org/2012/01/04/miner ... -la-carte/, and I think this is quite cool! I can't wait to try it once I settle on a reverse osmosis system.doodle wrote: Been thinking about and reading about what to do regarding my water for awhile. For the most part my tap water is okay (http://www.pinellascounty.org/utilities ... R_2014.pdf) but I don't mind spending a little extra to just be sure.
I have been looking at Reverse Osmosis type systems but then you read about W.H.O study regarding problems with drinking demineralized water... http://www.waterfyi.com/featured/w-h-o- ... a-believe/
So what to do???

You ask this about once every six months to a year. GET A RO SYSTEM! And take a multi-mineral tablet.doodle wrote: Been thinking about and reading about what to do regarding my water for awhile. Flouride in water isn't same as the flouride in toothpaste. It's far worse. And there's other toxins in the water to be worrying about as well that municipals can't or won't filter out. Bottom line, do you trust the government?doodle wrote: And the fluoride? Not a concern to you evidently...I don't know where I stand on that one. So much conflicting information
