I thought Russia took a fairly dim view on crime. How is theft of an entire bridge only a 2 year sentence? Pretty sure they'd throw the book at them in the States.

I don't know about that. Caltrans has held the new span of the Bay Bridge hostage for several years, with no release in sight.
