Pretty scary stuff... right off Catalina Island!

That is a truly strange story.

I can't wait to hear what it's all about.

It seems strange that the military was so quick to deny that it was involved if it really was.  It seems like the truth about that part of the story will come out soon enough.

If it wasn't the military, then I don't know what kind of entity would have the capability of launching something like that from a boat or sub that close to the CA coast.

Maybe it was Dr. Evil.

Chinese, sending Obama a message about letting India on the Security Council.

On top of everything else, this has got me pretty freaked.  Time to run for the hills?

Where are you located?

Would that be the Hollywood hills you would be running to?

Contrail from a jet is currently the most likely explanation.  But I personally think it is more likely visitors from another planet who are expressing their displeasure in Bernanke's QE2 experiment which will drive asset bubbles in their galaxy ;)

Ha!

Was that a "Lucifer's Hammer" reference?

We're in Nevada.

I've been looking at Boise, lately.  No so much as a survival retreat (although the fact that there is more cattle and potatoes in Idaho than there are people, did catch my eye!) ... but rather that there are less "neck and eye-lid" tattoo-sporting d-bags than in our present locale.  Although I digress.
