New location for me. Hoboken, NJ. I got a job in Jersey City. If anyone wants to grab drinks in NYC sometime let me know
everything comes from somewhere and everything goes somewhere
Re: Meeting In Person
Only just saw this somehow... Thanks! We're very excited. Of course it's still a ways from actually being up and running. Here's hoping my neighborhood is one of the first.dualstow wrote:Congrats! Google Fiber is coming your way!

It's pretty exciting to get a new job and a new place to live at the same time. If you're really lucky, you'll like them both.

What's a "weeding?" It sounds like a pot party, with a bit of hashish and hemp for added measure.MangoMan wrote: Stayed next door in Weehawken for a weeding 2 years ago. It is an expensive and time consuming chore crossing that stupid river, but NYC is an amazing place. Enjoy and congrats

Funny, although I recognized the typo I daydreamed that a weeding was a culling, like weeding out the problematic members of a community and banishing them.

Everyone was so spread out throughout the country (and, even the world) that I'm guessing that no one ever met in person?

After I wrote the above, I did later read about one New York City meeting.

Vinny,
It was fun organizing for the several NYC meets.
There has been a recent chat about a Texas meet. Smith1776 has expressed an interest in a meet, as has Moda.
I would like to attend if i could get picked up at the airport.
Not sure if this could happen. I think someone local would need to take charge.

Vinny,
Meeting members while passing thru may be the best possibility.
Tech,
Did you arrange your meet using PMs?

Re: Meeting In Person
I travel a lot for work, so combining those trips with a meetup might be nice. I met Dualstow once that way.
A list of cities would be good, for those willing to post that info? Apart from NYC, there is Vancouver, Austin area, Albuquerque...any others?

I'm about 100 miles east of Dallas now but will be moving to the northern exurbs of Austin this year, if things go as planned.

Wilmington, DE area.
DNA has its own language (code), and language requires intelligence. There is no known mechanism by which matter can give birth to information, let alone language. It is unreasonable to believe the world could have happened by chance.

Re: Meeting In Person
I am in NYC at least twice a year. I will also travel to another locale and include it as part of a bigger trip. If a location is mentioned, I will try to arrange transportation.
