For history enthusiasts. Film footage from the dawn of the last century showing parts of the state ceremonies following the death of President William McKinley. (Silent Black & White Appx 13 mins)

https://youtu.be/gTQrpsZ3tQA

Summary
Three sequences of the funeral ceremonies held for President William McKinley: Sequence 1: McKinley's body lay in state in the Rotunda of the Capitol, Washington, D.C. on Sept. 17, 1901; views of officers on horseback, the Artillery Band (wearing dark headdresses), a squadron of cavalry, a battalion of artillery and coast artillery, Marine Band (wearing white helmets), battalion of Marines, civilians carrying umbrellas (may be the diplomatic corps), other civilians, guard of honor, pallbearers, and the horsedrawn hearse all turning the corner off what may be Pennsylvania Avenue on their way to the Capitol; camera pans the hearse, as a procession of carriages turns the corner.

Sequence 2: McKinley's body first lay in state for public viewing in Buffalo, N.Y. on Sept. 15-16; views of carriages, the horsedrawn hearse, and marchers stopping in front of the Buffalo City Hall; medium close shots of the casket being unloaded from hearse and carried up stairs of City Hall; crowds of mourners lining up to view the body as group of soldiers enters City Hall; camera pans crowd gathered outside as mourners enter and leave City Hall. Unrelated sequence of Washington ceremonies follows; camera pans from different angles of crowds gathered at the east front of the Capitol.

Sequence 3: McKinley's body was conveyed to its final resting place at Canton, Ohio on Sept. 18-19; views of mounted military units, marching civilians, carriages, and the horsedrawn hearse turning and entering what is probably Westlawn Cemetery where McKinley is buried; military units marching down a street as gathered crowds watch; final pans of mourners, crowds, and soldiers outside the McKinley home in Canton.

The film is silent. If you want some appropriate mood music try this...

It was McKinley's favorite hymn and its opening words were also his last.

There are a lot of things to consider if you are thinking of building some kind of disaster/doomsday bunker.

* Budget.
* Where are you going to put it?
* How close do you live to a potential major impact area of a disaster or attack?
* How much space will you have for supplies? Bearing in mind that you will likely need basic supplies for long after it is safe to emerge from your bunker. In a catastrophic event there is likely to be a severe, if not total disruption in the ordinary supply of goods and services we tend to take for granted.
* Power? In a severe SHTF event, above ground power sources will likely be knocked out.
^ Ventilation? Think decontamination.
* Personal hygiene and sanitation? Living with others in close quarters for a period of days or weeks could get unpleasant quickly if there is not adequate provision for waste disposal and personal cleanliness.
* Space? How many people are you expecting to accommodate w/o going nuts?
* Safe supply of drinking water? Bottled water will not last forever.
* Who will know of your bunker's existence and how far are you prepared to go to keep them out in a true SHTF event?

After doing some research on nuclear weapons and the various scenarios that might result in atomic war, I have concluded that I don't really want to be among the survivors. The aftermath of a real nuclear war would likely be far worse than any horror film cooked up by Hollywood. If they start tossing around the big bombs, I hope the first one lands right on my house.

Ha! I've said this for years too. Paint a target on my roof. Kindred souls? 8)

Oh, I don’t want to survive a nuclear attack either.
I just want to hang out in a bunker today.

I can't help but wonder if the right way to play "would you rather die in a nuclear holocaust or survive it?" is that if you've been on top of the world, just crushing it, for a while, then going out in a flash is alright. You don't remember what it's like to feel shitty... loving life... then BOOM, it's over. On the other hand, if life has been kicking you in the sack for a while, what's wrong with surviving some atomic warfare, really? If anything it gives you an opportunity to do some rad (heh) shit before you die, like sitting on a rooftop taking out glowing, feral ghouls and eating all the ice cream you want.

Maybe we should have a leadership exchange program so we can see how the other side lives ;D

In all fairness to Australia, it depends on which State you visit. Have family in Queensland and they say it's quite sane there.

Not the greatest version of the song that I have ever heard. But the way it was done was quite good. I'm on my third listening / watching.

Do you believe that it was all impromptu on the part of the crowd as we are led to believe? Or, that it was staged and rehearsed?

America's oldest shopping mall has been partially converted into low rent micro-apartments.

For people who are single and living on a tight budget, this looks really cool.

I like small apartments. One place I lived in Germany didn't have a stovetop/oven or sink, so I know that part sucks. They screwed up in not installing an under-counter fridge, though. That one ruins what could be precious counter space. Anyways, like the attractive doctor chick said, if she's not gonna be there that much it's good enough.

The outside shots looked like a very upscale prison. I imagine it's loud as shit in there with the echoing.

I found some Jordan Peterson themed music videos that have a touch of the motivational bent and are actually quite catchy. Now I've seen everything.

All that talk of killin' Jews and Ordinary Men wasn't on the source list? A little suspect if you ask me.
