Gervais’ Opening Monologue at the 2020 Golden Globes. Savage!

That was awesome. But seriously? Can't a man be bothered to put on a tie at a black tie event?
He was even drinking a beer instead of the traditional glass of water. Zero f***s given ;D

Had seen that earlier from a notification repeatedly popping up on the bottom right of this monitor.

Thanks for the video.

Saw them once in the 90s.

My all-time favorite Rush song is this one: https://youtu.be/JnC88xBPkkc

I generally focus on the music with the lyrics not being any big deal. But I also like the lyrics in the song along with the great music.

Vinny

Me too. Well, ‘89 I guess. Presto tour.

That’s a great song, Trees.

Misanthropix - Boostergangs

Somehow, the tube knew I'd be into synthwave.

I must have listened to more than a dozen mixes by The Prime Thanatos.
Synthwave is good background music when you’re on the net.

Speaking of synths... I've been listening to a lot of Hollywood Undead - Undead lately. Let the aggression wash over you in a cool wave.

I'm not on a tirade today. This was in my twitter feed recently, though it's from July.
I was actually surprised about this one. Maybe I'm naive.

Day in the Life of a Typical Japanese Office Worker in Tokyo

This guy has a lot of cool videos about Japan, the "day in the life" ones are the best.

Yeah, that was a good clip. Some of that is atypical. Emi is adorable.

A recording of Charles Lightoller, second officer of the Titanic, describing his experiences during and after the sinking. There are a (very) few key people on the Titanic whose actions saved hundreds of lives, and he was one of them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT8W1E3ctvs

Also, I highly recommend reading his life story. It is amazing, deserving of a biography IMHO. Among other things, he took his personal boat to Dunkirk in 1940, at age 66, to rescue British soldiers. This is portrayed in the "Dunkirk" movie although the character is given a different name.

Lightoller's autobiography. He was indeed a fascinating man who had an incredible life.
