1177 BC, The Year Civilization Collapsed

110' long, interesting talk. It's neat to hear all this tied together, since in school and reading (and playing Age Of Empires) I only really learned about these civs in isolation.

Peter Thiel discussing "The Myth Of Diversity" with particular emphasis on universities. If it wasn't pointed out that it is decades old, you wouldn't know it.

Based response to PTSD question.
I loved Dan Crenshaw's (the veteran) response: "Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended."

Too many people practice that in reverse nowadays.

I like how this all turned out. SNL invited Crenshaw to the show for a funny segment, he joked with Pete Davidson and delivered his own much better PSA at the end. It was like something that would have happened years ago when we were only at Hate Level Blue.

We were also both big fans of Richard Marcinko's autobiography Rogue Warrior when we were kids, oddly enough. I've probably read that book 15+ times; my copy is held together with duct tape ;D

Heather McDonald describes how hard Thiel nailed it in the current university system. It's going to be with us for a long time.
