Here's a video of a prominent US politician using a racial slur last week at a Eurozone meeting.

Thank you for the introduction to rickrolling.

I was not familiar with this time-jacking technique.

FWIW, though, I thought that the bartender looked a lot like Obama and I kept waiting for him to say something inappropriate between his dance moves.

You know, I never really regretted getting rick-rolled, because, to be honest, it is a pretty awesome song...  >.<

It looks like I wasn't the only one who thought the bartender looked like Obama:

Ha! You know, Duncan Trussell (the drunk guy) is probably the most frequent guest on Joe Rogan's podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience." That podcast can be a bit vulgar and rough around the edges, but Joe and Duncan often get into some really interesting discussions on all sorts of random topics like aliens, drugs, evolution, and the nature of reality.

Crispin Glover, the actor who played Thomas Edison in that video (and, of course, George McFly from Back to the Future), is strange. One of the most eccentric actors out there. He made a guest appearance on the David Letterman show back in 1987 and pulled a bizarre, Andy Kaufman-style prank. He appeared in the interview as the character "Rubin" from a then-unreleased movie Rubin and Ed, and supposedly neither the audience nor Letterman had any idea that he was in character. (Virtually nobody knew anything about the movie Rubin and Ed at the time.) To call this an awkward interview is an understatement:

LOL.  The Joe Rogan Experience is the only podcast that I listen to.  I haven't listened to every single episode but I did go back and listen to every episode that featured Duncan Trussell.  Those two guys go deep, and I mean DEEP.  At first I was hesitant to start listening to the Joe Rogan Podcast, because I thought he was just some jackass that hosted UFC and Fear Factor, but man was I wrong.  Here is a taste (2:12) -- Joe compares humans to bacteria:

Here is another hit (4:39) -- Joe discusses Hippies and lazy people:

I'm still guaranteed a smile any time I check out Sammy Stephens' jumpin' rap commercial for "Flea Market Montgomery".  His flow is so smooth that it's just like a mini-mall.

The "dramatic chipmunk" (actually a prairie dog) is also 6 seconds of essential viewing.

And a recent one for anybody who wonders why I don't trust monkeys.  Here's an ultra-acrobatic (but failed) monkey attack that was thwarted by thick zoo glass.

I sensed your distrust of monkeys, but I never would have asked you about it (often those things are private matters).

That video combined with the periodic reports I hear of surly chimps ripping off human limbs gives me a sense of uneasiness about monkeys as well.

Gosso: I've listened to this guy and I'm a little confused about what you like about him. What come across to me is a huge contradiction between what he is saying and the way he acts. Maybe that's a part of his appeal and there is some irony being expressed consciously. I just don't see it. He seems irony deficient. An example: he's sitting in the back of his huge gas guzzling limo talking about human beings as bacteria destroying life. He seems disconnected from his compassion. He just seems like a pretty smart thug who lacks heart but is good at going for the shock value, the kill. Also, he's is not saying anything new or original to me whether it be about religion, DMT or the Kali Yuga. When he talks about his humility, it doesn't ring true to me. Seems more like the toxic mimic than the real deal. :-[

Well, Joe introduced me to a few new areas of thought, and he has been a good ally on my quest for "knowledge".  I guess I have to thank him for that.  He is also usually fairly open to new ideas and theories.  But I agree that he says a lot silly things, although he is just probing for answers, and I feel the same way.

It's too bad you don't like him...he's not for everyone.

It's pretty difficult to get me mad or pissed off.  ;D  Considering that just over 4 or 5 months ago I thought that any kind of psychedelic was the devil, I think I'm doing pretty good.

How about a little Grateful Dead to tide things over (4:13):

No kidding!  It cannot be healthy putting that much pressure on your ankles.

Haha, that was good stuff.  But why was his buddy filming him while playing Wii Olympic Ski Jumping.  Just doesn't seem right.  The only time I would record someone playing the Wii was if it involves a beautiful girl and a hula-hoop game. (0:49)

Warning: don't watch if you are offended by underwear and a nice butt.  :)
