A lot here are in my age bracket.

The following youtube playlist of 195 songs was created by a friend who I was in junior / senior high school with.

It is quite good.

So good that I am having it on at the same time as I listen to C-Span's Washington Journal and at many other times (like while I was reading the Elizabeth Holmes book last night).

He has some heavy rock in there (Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad), a lot of black oriented music (James Brown), jazz, and other variety.

NOT the list I'd create but there are few if any songs in it that I don't like.

Best listened to on shuffle.

https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list ... 800AWgWx-F

By the way ... does anyone here know how do create such a youtube list?

Thanks!

Next question.

Can you create one with free youtube? Or, do you have to be a paying customer?

Don't understand your pique.

It was an informational question for something I might want to do in the future. Not something I was going to do yesterday, today, this week.

If it was going to cost anything then I'm most likely never going to consider doing it.

It was a simple question to you that required a one word answer from you.

But, thanks for the quick response.

There's no pique. But I know you're going to put a couple entries in a spreadsheet about it when you could have just clicked twice and made a sample playlist with one entry.

I'm presently not going to do anything regarding it.

But when the impulse moves me to want to do it.... whether it be next week, next month, next year .... I will be ready with the knowledge you provided me as to how to create one and, more importantly, that is free.

You did save me some time.

Thanks again.

And for those who would otherwise wonder, this is how a post count increases by an average of 212 posts a week.

Is that Frontline documentary region locked? It keeps saying I can't access it, which sucks because the description looks super interesting.

Hmm, that’s a distinct possibility. Although this youtube link might not work either if that’s the case, do give it a try anyway:

Aw shoot. Yeah, same thing. Most likely a region lock. Booooo.

It'll probably be available soon. I really like Frontline documentaries. The production value is so good. And the narrator's voice is so authoritative lol.

It’s funny you said that. Some 15 years ago, an older friend of mine said he didn’t watch Frontline because he didn’t like the guy’s voice.
I said What are you talking about? It’s the best part! That guy could say the sky is green in that voice and I’d have to believe it 😂

You familiar with Bob Sheppard?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Sheppard

He announced each players' at bat at Yankee Stadium from 1951 to 2007. He lived to 99 years old and did this job with the Yankees until he was 96 years old.

For almost all Yankee fans he was considered: "The Voice of God".

I found him extremely boring in the way he announced the players and thought his voice was terrible (along with Vin Scully's).

Give me something to listen to on the person on Frontline and I will get an opinion.

In general .... not a fan of the British voice. Somewhat neutral on his with a tilt towards the annoying side. I could listen to it but it'd not add to the broadcast. More likely detract from it.
