Heather McDonald describes how hard Thiel nailed it in the current university system. It's going to be with us for a
long time.
What do you make of the host? I have tried to listen to Levin on the radio at night but I have to admit I didn't last very long. Had to turn him off.
EDIT: so far so good with Heather MacDonald, though.
I'd forgotten about that GradeAUnderA guy! It is from him that I learned to use J,K,L on the keyboard to pause videos on youtube and jump forward and back.

The generational tech gap. I remember my sister showing our niece (by my other sister) her old rotary telephone and my niece asked how we sent text messages. I told her that we used Western Union.

What do you mean "generational tech gap?"
I think they figured it out pretty quickly for how non-intuitive rotary phones are. The first way they tried actually made a lot of sense, but looked
because I already know how to use one .

Interesting, Jon! I had to jump to 6.28, Sloppy Joe's bar. Is that where the Key West bar got its name? Just across the water...
Edit:
wikipedia says yes.

It is. I have been to the one in Key West. Sadly the one in Havana is under new management. But I really wish I could have stopped in back in the glory days. I love how fast the booze is flying off the shelves with all those thirsty Americans buying. And I also want one of those snappy summer hats!

What Makes This Song Great? Ep.17 BOSTON
https://youtu.be/mrJ0xnXv_IQ
I've been enjoying Rick Beato's 'What Makes This Song Great?' series on YouTube.
Rick does a fantastic job of reverse engineering songs, so you can get a greater understanding and appreciation for the work and talent that went into making them.
In the link above Rick reviews 'Hitch a Ride' by Boston.
Enjoy.
Gonna sail away sun lights another day;
freedom on my mind carry me away for the last time.
Oh, yeah.

I guess there isn't really a Youtube? It would be very entertaining if there was.
I once had a raccoon blatantly steal a beer from my campsite while I was sitting right next to it. Apparently he had acquired such a taste for it scrounging around in garbage cans that he was bold enough to go for a whole bottle. Too bad I couldn't tell him I would gladly sit down and share a beer or two or more with him if he wanted it so bad.

First off, that is a pretty damn good song. The chorus especially.
But did you notice at the end, with the little
piano outro, that the melody was essentially the same as in their earlier song (with one of the BEST intros ever),
Sonne? I wonder if that was intentional, or they just forgot they already used that melody.

Click on my post where it says "piano outro" and just scroll back to the beginning.
