2U / edX Facing Possible Bankruptcy And Shutdown

For a long time my favourite learning platform was edX. Unfortunately it now looks like it could be knocking on death's door. Its parent company, 2U, is in serious financial trouble.

The worst part is that knowing that the platform might shutdown at any point in the next year or so gives me serious trepidations about paying for another program. But that's a vicious circle, as students' hesitation to sign up for courses does nothing but exacerbate their revenue problems. That's a downward spiral that looks hard to stop.
