Saw the video yesterday or the day before. Terrible. Don't know if I'd ever prior seen an actual video of two airplanes colliding.

Definitely pilot error on the part of the smaller fighter. His closure rate was WAY too fast and he completely misjudged the join up angle. Really some poor piloting. The only excuse for something like that is if he had some physiological thing happened that incapacitated him. (after writing this I watched the second video...and what I explained was it)
