i hear Led Zepman was talking to (Kan)ye recently. Any good?

This was the catalyst for me listening to Lex for the first time in way too long.

Kanye 'Ye' West | Lex Fridman Podcast #332

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AWLcxTGZPA
First time I ever saw him get angry, which he did every time K West said, 'The Jews."

It was an entertaining interview.

Thanks! I’m going to check out the podcast.

EDIT: Yup, he still sounds like a moron with egomania and a Jesus complex.

ON the other hand .... to be the 9th richest black person in the world .... he must be a genius on various levels. But I felt badly for him every time he tried to take on Lex on an intellectual level. It was a gross mismatch.

Since AI is not one of my interests this was not of great interest to me. However, if AI IS one of YOUR interests then you will definitely like it.

This one is excellent.

My local newspaper, the five Sunday news shows, Twitter .... all seem to have nothing about what is currently going on in Iran.

This was extremely informative. Not did it explain what is going on now and why but by way of explanation it went through an extensive history of Iran.

Highly recommended.

I had heard of him but knew nothing about him.

I did like this interview with him. That led me to going to listen to a few of his shows. That was not as good an experience as listening to this interview.

Prior to listening to this I had never heard of Destiny.

But it turned out to be a stimulating listen. I went to his web site to listen to his streaming. Again not as good an experience as this interview.

I am halfway through this one.

At first it was quite depressing listening to how this person grew up. I'd never heard of him prior to this podcast. So it was quite astounding to hear how he'd grown up all the way to high school to find out that he'd achieved billionaire status. He grew up in a family of five where in the best year his mother and father combined made $32,000. Mostly they made a combined $20,000. The big deal for the family all year was on the last day of the year buying a cheese cake for $3.99 on sale that normally sold for $7.99. Going from that life to being a billionaire!!

There is a lot in this podcast that many hear would enjoy. Discussion of Trump being on / off Twitter (what did he say, do you think?), investing success how its making the least mistakes (when I'm buying, someone else had to have been selling that exact item I am buying ... in the future looking backwards, which of us made the mistake), going solar to beat the monopoly power of the utility companies, and on and on and on.

Continuing to listen and he is casually describing playing in a poker game where there was a $1 million pot! And, he had to make a ruling in his favor.

This has definitely been one of the most varied and intriguing Lex podcasts I have listened to.

The guest just stated that Lex takes people who are from behind the rope and demystifies them. Clearly he is a fan of Lex.

In the middle of listening to this one. Another excellent one.

Those here would appreciate it.

They make the point that carbon emissions could be be reduced in a far more efficient and effective way. That we don't concentrate on the things we can control on the ground such as zoning, allowing people to live in high risk areas that get subsidized by the government, and building more resistant structures.

It is fascinating to ponder that on one hand, the greenies want to have people eat more vegetables and less meat and thus reduce cow farts, while on the other hand, we spend billions to reduce a chemical vital to plant health - carbon dioxide.

The climate is doing what it has always done - change. Next on the agenda: focus on reducing plate tectonics. ;)
DNA has its own language (code), and language requires intelligence. There is no known mechanism by which matter can give birth to information, let alone language. It is unreasonable to believe the world could have happened by chance.

They did point this out that due to all the excess carbon dioxide being produced that we are truly becoming a greener and greener planet with all the blooming plant growth.

As someone who has been fascinated by Ross Ulbricht and Silk Road, I found the Chris Tarbell interview fascinating. Definitely worth a listen.

Yes, that was a good one.

I've been pre-occupied with a lot of no mind computer work which has allowed me to catch up on a lot of Lex's. I will give updates here at some point but have to wait until I'm free of having to do that no mind computer work.

I could have put this here or in the Twitter files post.

But this attack on Lex is obviously a due to his closeness with Elon Musk.

I started reading the comments to what he wrote but after about 10 minutes of reading them (all of which were positive) I stopped as they seemed endless. Now I see that, so far, there have been 712 comments.

Lex is LOVED by many people.

Just starting to listen to this latest Lex.

If you have not yet listened to any Lex ... try listening to just the first 3:41 of this. It will give you an excellent taste of who is this Lex person and why so many of us around the world love him so:

That's a nice intro. Lex is a great guy. I scrolled down the Youtube page to read some of the comments. One person asked whether Lex could interview Thomas Sowell. That would be an awesome interview, which I would love to see. I hope he sees that comment and tries to make it happen. Sowell is in his early 90s, so maybe he isn't able to give interviews anymore. On the other hand, I posted a podcast interview yesterday with Jack Matlock who is about the same age, and he seemed very lucid and engaging, although a little hampered by poor hearing, which I can relate to being in my mid-50s and already suffering from hearing issues probably due to blasting my ears with a Walkman and other stereo equipment when I was younger.

It almost seems like Led is diagnosing himself as being on the spectrum.

Well it’s just a clip. You can see #274 with Karl Deisseroth is 3⅓ hrs. Maybe it’s just an excerpt from that.

We had been more specifically (recently) been discussing Aspergers (which is part of that spectrum). Several people here took the same test I took for it and revealed their scores.

Interesting. I’ll find it. I may have posted about it already, but I recently finished the book, ‘In a Different Key’ which is a history of autism (2016). There’s a PBS special based on it, but I found the book very readable and my eyes sometimes glaze over watching documentaries.
