Does anyone use the Session app?
I’ve used Telegram, Signal, Wire, etc. Never heard of Session before today. Anyone know where they’re based?
Edit: Australia

Re: Session chat app
Thank you, Spambot, for reminding me to post here.
It appears that Session has made some security concessions, which is bizarre.
I’m sticking with other apps.

Re: Session chat app
yeah, Signal is what I use the most because after Apple’s native app, it’s what I can get real life friends to use. And it’s not owned by Facebook.
I also have Threema but I only use it with one person.

Re: Session chat app
It’s a fork of Signal, and they promoted the fact that you don’t need a phone number to sign up. Same deal with the Wire app, which I think I learned about through a former member here (now banned). With Session, you don’t need an email address either, but extra privacy is not worth it, obviously, if there are security holes.
