Humans Infected With 'Mind-Altering' Parasite Seen as More Attractive

I was thinking this was an April fool's joke but it was posted a few days ago.

CDC does state it is believed 40 million Americans are infected.

It makes you wonder what other unknown things are infecting and altering us.

I'd love to see these findings replicated.

BTW, one of the most fascinating books I've ever read, Parasite Rex, talked about T. gondii a lot. Definitely recommended.

hah! I’ve heard and read about Toxoplasma over the years and never dreamed that it would be the parasite mentioned in this title. At least, not until I saw Pug’s post, which I read before I clicked the link.

It may be responsible for crazy cat ladies. Causing attractiveness? i think this may be a stretch. O0

I do think it's generally agreed that it causes rats and mice to not fear cats. Maybe it's women who are particularly rat-like and men who are particularly cat-like causing these "attractiveness" results.
