It's probably best to avoid permanent decisions right now, such as suicide, body mutilation, tattoos. Of those three though you picked the right one.

I’m just researching tattoo removal. Apparently it will cost 500 to 1000

I’ve reevaluated.

I’m not getting it removed. I quite like it.

Nothing wrong with Euler's Identity. It is a fine formula. But getting it tattooed on your wrist is a bit fucked up. Think about that. I'm not a psychoanalyst but I play one on the internet. I would normally just recommend that you leave the tattoo and don't do anything stupid again, but the truth is that you are fucked. You are on a path to self destruction. I wish that I could recommend something more positive, but if you keep up this self delusional pity party you will never be worth saving. Get yourself together Smithers and stop jerking off.

You could be a man.

Mark's playing bad cop. Good cop: Channel that massive energy into getting ripped at the gym. Until you do that, you're living an inhuman/diseased life. The human animal evolved over millennia to hunt and plow fields all day everyday. Not sit on a computer crushing your spine.

Mr. Smith,

1. Your situation is something to take very seriously.
2. This discussion forum is not a safe place for you. Avoid it and other forums for the time being. Better yet, download Blocksite and block places like this, again for the time being.
3. Seek out professional help and support from live human beings in your community.

The odds are in your favor even if it may not seem that way to you right now

Thanks. That's a much more productive and positive perspective. I really appreciate that.

Again, I'm feeling bad enough about myself as it is. Getting knocked down by friends is the last thing I need right now.

Thank you the concern. I'm taking my situation very very seriously. Every day feels like i'm super fragile and that even the smallest thing could knock me off kilter. I still deal with the dark thoughts daily. It's only been in the past week or two that I've been pulled back from the brink and no longer seriously consider checking out.

Negativity is the last thing I need. I won't be blocking this site, but I'll put people on ignore if they're detracting from my mental health.

Make some hay out of that new tattoo; you could tell all kinds of funny stories about it. (Doesn't matter whether they're true, of course...)

O no. Xan, I hope you have not gone to the Biden side (aka dark side). 🤣🤣🤣
DNA has its own language (code), and language requires intelligence. There is no known mechanism by which matter can give birth to information, let alone language. It is unreasonable to believe the world could have happened by chance.

One of my friends insisted that I watch the movie Inside Out, so we did!

Apparently it's a very good representation of how the brain works and sadness/depression works. This is despite the fact that it's a kids movie.

Maybe he thinks worrying about what's helpful and what isn't will only lead to mollycoddling, and the most productive thing is to call it like he sees it.

Smith, Mark has been a big fan of yours, and that is high praise. It's hard to deal with somebody you had on a pedestal falling to earth. That's not necessarily fair to the pedestal-ee, of course.

I have been a big fan of Mark's as well. Hopefully your interpretation is the correct one.

When it rains it pours. My father is now needing to go to the hospital for a seriously bad hip. Annnnnnd my laptop just broke (bulging battery). I am facing these additional challenges head on as best I can.

I can really sympathize with the broken laptop. That must have been very traumatic.
