I am still trying to process the part where he said that the inflation you think you are seeing at the supermarket etc. is really just the deflation of your paycheck in a world where your purchasing power is decreasing because your labor cannot compete any longer due to globalization.

For those who read Rickards....isn't this somewhat the same as what he says?
Above provided by: Vinny, who always says: "I only regret that I have but one lap to give to my cats." AND "I'm a more-is-more person."

I guess what struck me is his points about the deflation being caused from globalization and technology and how much stimulus is going to be needed to stem off deflation.

Pretty much what we have been seeing over last year.

I guess I had in my mind was that most of our deflation was lack of new loans and loans being extinguished. Now my eyes opened to the larger deflation of technology and globalization.

Mortgages have been our biggest inflation generator but now we have moved on to 10 trillion stimulus packages.

So basically the fed is pretty much buying these 10 trillion in stimulus treasuries with new dollars.
