Crypto Currencies and Taxes

Just did my taxes today and since I've been using Turbo Tax I rarely even look at the forms that are produced but I did this year and found it very interesting. Right after your personal information and before they even ask about your dependents they now ask about Crypto-currency. What to make of this? Apparently it is an important question to the IRS.
