Some of the big tech companies are the enemy of the people
"Facebook has removed a video posted by Breitbart News earlier today, which was the top-performing Facebook post in the world Monday afternoon, of a press conference in D.C. held by the group America’s Frontline Doctors and organized and sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots. The press conference featured Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and frontline doctors sharing their views and opinions on coronavirus and the medical response to the pandemic. YouTube (which is owned by Google) and Twitter subsequently removed footage of the press conference as well."

Re: Some of the big tech companies are the enemy of the people
I skipped around the video. I don't disagree with any of the bits I heard, but again, dammit, this is crazy that the virus is so politically charged.
That a group of doctors with embroidered lab coats and such need to come out and talk about everything that isn't talked about.
Aargh. I'm glad Trump retweeted it, but in the end there is a pretty darn entrenched the virus is going to kill us all portion of the country that is currently in charge of the narrative.

Not only are they removing the video, they are suspending the accounts of prominent people that have retweeted it.
Nothing to see here, I'm sure...

Wonder if the ACLU would take this on. How can this be described as anything other than pure censorship?
I watched a few minutes of the video. I don't agree with everything that's said, but that is not a reason to silence an opinion. Or at least shouldn't be in the country as it was just a few short years ago. I kinda miss that place.
Someone said in another thread that books are going to be banned soon as well, via action by publishers. And recommended getting physical copies of books that might end up on the banned list. very good advice.

I remembered they backed Rush Limbaugh a few years ago, and found this:MangoMan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 11:22 amI'm pretty sure the ACLU is only in favor of left wing civil liberties these days.WiseOne wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 10:29 am Wonder if the ACLU would take this on. Wow, their website is gone as well.
Now I truly need to question what's going on.
Of course, there is this too,(https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/americas ... e-doctors/) and I suppose one thing I'd have to agree with is they have no leadership that is an infectious disease person. Not that that means anything, but this is obviously trying to push the opposite case of what we are being told.
Sort of like Tim Noakes and the lo-carb trial http://foodmed.net/the-noakes-trial/

Given the tone of the speeches on the video, I'm not too surprised. However...that is STILL not a reason for suppressing them. Opposing views are absolutely part of scientific debate, and for sure part of politics too. Censorship is not how it's supposed to work in either case.Cortopassi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 11:52 am Of course, there is this too,(https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/americas ... e-doctors/) and I suppose one thing I'd have to agree with is they have no leadership that is an infectious disease person. This is very worrying. Who are we to criticize China for suppressing free speech and policing its internet, given all this?

It's also embedded at the very top of the link in the OP.MangoMan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 11:34 amThis link is dead.Libertarian666 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:15 am Here's the video that they have banned: https://vimeo.com/442234160.

It really would have been nice if they found a lead person that wasn't so easily dismissed.

....Immanuel, a pediatrician and a religious minister, has a history of making bizarre claims about medical topics and other issues. She has often claimed that gynecological problems like cysts and endometriosis are in fact caused by people having sex in their dreams with demons and witches.
She alleges alien DNA is currently used in medical treatments, and that scientists are cooking up a vaccine to prevent people from being religious. And, despite appearing in Washington, D.C. to lobby Congress on Monday, she has said that the government is run in part not by humans but by “reptilians” and other aliens.

I can't imagine that the ACLU would take it on, since "ACLU" now apparently stands for "Anti-Civil Liberties Union". Alan Dershowitz is appalled by what they have become and has disavowed them after being on their Board of Directors for many years.WiseOne wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 10:29 am Wonder if the ACLU would take this on. Just one example is that they were on the side of the gay couple who wanted to force the baker to bake them a wedding cake. That's the opposite of civil liberty.

I don't think she's the lead person, but that's certainly how she's being portrayed because it's convenient. She does seem to be certifiable though.Cortopassi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 3:33 pm It really would have been nice if they found a lead person that wasn't so easily dismissed.

You are Breitbart, or whoever put this doctor group together. Why on earth would you not vet shit like this? A 10 year old could figure out that the opposition is going to research everyone’s history with a microscope.Xan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:01 pmI don't think she's the lead person, but that's certainly how she's being portrayed because it's convenient. Poorly planned if you ask me. Almost like it was purposely poorly planned for some conspiracy that I do not understand.
I did not see if they had bios of the other doctors in the group, but I cannot imagine that they could not find some really reputable names to be part of something well thought out portraying the other side of this issue. They have to be out there. There’s no way every medical professional has fallen into line on all this, just no way.

Distractions from the money printing. How's Trumps progress on the gold standard?
