If you look at all the studies and Random Controlled Tests regarding masking to prevent viral transmission they show the utter failure of cloth masks and the relative inefficacy of even properly fitted N95 masks.
What masking actually does is to virtual signal your party affiliation & fealty similar to wearing your swastika armband, or your little red star. Also, it fosters obedience akin to what they do with military recruits when they shave their heads to break down any individualism.

The biggest authoritarian loving Zombies are driving around in their vehicle ALONE with the fascist face diaper. These are dangerous people IMO- nothing but modern day Jacobins by my reckoning.

If you use any critical thinking whatsoever, you can see what's really going down here and it's not about safety it's all about control.

People in this Country are going to wake up in a nation that they don't even recognize if we can't get this under control here pretty soon. It was not cool, or fun to live in a 'utopia' like the German Democratic Republic. Watch the movie, "The Lives of Others" if you want to get a taste of what living under Communism is actually like. You could insert National Socialism as well.

My town a few weeks ago rejected re-instituting a mask mandate. But then decide to re-institute it from December 22, 2021 to March 1, 2022.

Kemosabe,
Given your comments in another thread, shall we start referring to you as The Lone Ranger? 😉

Looks like KF94 masks are the way to go. Cloth masks are just decoration. (I’ll still wear them on the outside)

I pretty much agree with all of your points, Pug.

I would add that the data in the chart is from Spring 2021. It doesn’t cover KF94 masks, which I just started wearing instead of cloth.
I don’t know how effective they are, but they seem to be a good compromise: not unbearably uncomfortable like N95’s but appear to offer good protection according to sources I’ve read, and friends I’ve spoken to.

I just attended a wedding where we sat in close quarters without masks because we were eating. I avoided the dance floor — no rhythm anyway — but I guess if I were truly worried i would have simply not attended, like an invite I declined last summer. Can’t guarantee that masks will protect.

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people wearing good masks, but leaving their noses completely uncovered.

I’m not surprised that people are still such slobs, but how hard is it to dispose of a mask properly? I didn’t even have to be taught not to litter as a child.
Masks are the new beer six-pack plastic rings, it seems.
