Had never prior heard of it until now.

But bought it both based upon your recommendation and the seeing that it had 2,375 reviews which averaged 5 stars.

Thanks

This forum has been yet another source for me to become aware of books and then to buy them.

Haven't read the book but Dr. Berry has been one of my main sources for info on the keto diet. He has a lot of Youtubes on the subject.

Plus, each monitor displays colors differently.

I have four different monitors connected to this computer. None of them are identical.

Though I've extended my display to these four monitors I can only choose abackground that is the same for each of them.

I chose a picture of my softball team from a year ago.

The picture was from early November and it was quite cold that day (upper 40s) and I had on multiple layers, topped with a red piece of clothing.

As I look at all four monitors the shading of red is distinctly different in each one of them.

I presently have a cat on my lap so don't want to get up and and get that piece of clothing to compare. But I'd guess none of the monitors quite match its shade of red.

Prior to buying the book I read the first three pages of reviews. And, in those reviews there were several references to keto. I've read many references by all of you here. Have no idea what it is. But will once I read the book. It's high on my list of choices and probably will read it within the next week.

Of course, I did not get it until the third time around! And, was still not certain which is why I had to ask.

I am definitely noticing a much more subdued appetite since starting this new water regimen. I'm also staying disciplined with tracking every bit of my food and daily exercise. So far, so good.

I went on a coffee date last night with a girl who lives about 30 minutes away in the Abbotsford area. A nice girl who seems stable. She has two kids, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I'm also learning that wine is a truly fascinating topic. Thanks for that one, Hal. Matthew Mcconaughey says that he drank as much wine as he wanted when losing weight for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. (He apparently plays a guy dying of HIV/AIDS?)

About to hit the gym. ^-^

Thanks for the reminder!

It reminded me that while I dutifully grabbed a quart of water from the refrigerator to drink after I had my usual huge amount of afternoon popcorn (about three hours ago)...until you reminded me now I'd not yet touched it. I will now start drinking it!

If you were 50 and divorced, that would be par for the course (ask me how I know). But at your age, dating single mothers is insanity. They are generally 'provider hunters' and you will always be the lowest of priorities for them. Find yourself another 'stable' girl who doesn't already have kids. This is standard advice/knowledge in the manoshere.
Pugs, your dating/marriage advice always seems rock-solid. You're a veritable guru. 8)

Smithers, was this woman ever married? If not, that's a big red flag that she chose to have not just one, but two kids without a husband and father to be involved with them. (Inconsiderate to the kids.) And if she's divorced, there's a good chance her husband agreed to a divorce because he eventually couldn't stand to be around her any longer.

Yes, absolutely.
If I were a young man, I would emigrate to a less misandrist country.

The only way I'd even consider something like that in your situation is if she had been married and her husband had died. (Not at her hand, it goes without saying!)

On the other hand......

I had a coworker whose first marriage in his early 30s was a short one. Then he remarried about five years later (33 or so years later, they are still happily married). The second wife came with two young children. Forget what had happened with her and her first husband.

Anyway they had me to their house several times for supper. Once I was there before my now no longer coworker came home from work (our mutual employer had gone out of business). I observed the reaction of the kids. It was like God had just come home! My thoughts were not a bad situation. He basically married into "instant family". He was always someone who liked kids and these two kids absolutely loved and adored him. And, he got to bypass the whole changing diapers stage with children.

Just another view of it....

Yea, but I've been doing a lot of hiking lately and needed the extra calories. It's been a couple of years since I've had a slice of cheesecake. An old fashioned, on the other hand...
