At some point in your life it really helps to decide to be a man.
Hey, is that a knock on peppermint coffee? Even on Xmas?!
I reject all that "real men drink bourbon and branch" bullshit.

I bet even Diamond Dallas Page has a peppermint latte when he feels like it.

It was mostly referring to gorging on chicken nuggets and brownies. But maybe a little bit askance at the peppermint also.

Of course!

Will anyone else be starting Two Towers at precisely the right time so that Theoden says “So it begins.” right at midnight?

No. But we were watching X-Files (
with no lights on ♫ ) last night and they mentioned the year 2023.

Happy New Year’s Eve to you. May 2023 be a good year and bring civility, peace and comfort to all, and may each of us find a way to meet our neighbors’ needs a little bit better than in years past. Blessings.

BTW do you have a favourite episode?
Mine is
Detour. The one where Mulder and Scully discover and fight against those camouflage things in the Appalachian woods.

Does anyone have goals or accomplishments they are aimed towards for 2023?

No, but I have a resolution: to have a more open mind.

Similar to last year — lose weight, get stronger, play more music
Last year — was doing well on all until death of parent mid year and my getting COVID a few weeks after.
So, gained about 10lb last year, although did get stronger, just not as much as hoped.

Sorry to hear of your loss. If it helps, I gained WAY more weight than you this past year.

That's a great one. I'm working out some continuing education goals and career goals, but haven't concretized them quite yet.
